§ 1-6. General penalty; continuing violations.

Whenever in this Code, or in any ordinance of the town, or rule, regulation or order promulgated by any officer or agency of the town under authority duly vested in such officer or agency, any act is required, or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, and no specific penalty is provided for the violation thereof, the violator of any such provisions of this Code, or any such ordinance, rule, regulation, or order shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment for not more than 30 days. Each day any violation of this Code, or any such ordinance, rule, regulation, or order shall constitute, except where otherwise provided, a separate offense.
