  • Upon the issuance of any license for the operation of a taxicab business, the licensee shall paint or affix to each side and the rear of each vehicle operated under his license, in letters at least two inches high, the number of the license and the name of the holder thereof, or, in the alternative, he shall place on the top near the front a sign which may be illuminated designating the vehicle as a taxicab and giving the license number. Magnetic signs may be substituted for the required signs.
